In the space of four lines and a mere handful of words (twenty), and in the face of his city being reduced to rubble, Partaw Naderi's compact and beautiful poem manages to create an indelible lyric seared with hope.
This week’s poem is from Afghanistan. The poem is read first in English translation by Sarah Maguire and then in Dari by Partaw Naderi.
